Series of training workshops within the Project “Sustainable Development of Local Communities through the Actualization of Cultural Heritage” was conducted within the Project in August and September 2013

 The Project is implemented by the Charitable Foundation "Intelektualna Perspektyva" and is funded by the EU. 

The event was attended by representatives of departments of education and science and departments of culture of oblast and rayon State administrations, representatives of museums, libraries and other cultural centers in the regions, representatives of NGOs and the mass media.

Well known Ukrainian experts in the field of PR and Communications were involved as trainers for the event:

Valentin Korolko, Ukrainian scientist, PhD, Professor, Head of Department of Theory and Method of Public Relations of the National University of "Kyiv -Mohyla Academy";

Ihor Slisarenko, well known journalist;

Dmitry Konyk, PhD in Sociology, expert in communications and PR with years of experience in international companies;

Training workshops were held in 6 cities of Ukrainian Pilissya, namely in Rivne, Zhytomyr, Kyiv , Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky, Sumy - for Ukrainian stakeholders , and in Chernigov - for partners from Belorussia.

Participants gained necessary knowledge on the communication campaigns development, establishing partnerships in the communication process, the basics of fundraising. Trainers gave practical skills in cooperation with the media.
