 The purpose of the study is to determine the decisive factors and the primary factors that influence the progress of the implementation of the Mother-to-Child HIV / AIDS Prevention Program in Ukraine in order to eliminate mother-to-child transmission of HIV.

 Objectives of the study:

definition and description of factors influencing the level of vertical transmission of HIV, based on cascading data of the PMTCT program;

assessment of the degree of risk associated with PMD at the present stage of the HIV epidemic in Ukraine;

Development of a scale for assessing the risk of mother-to-child transmission of HIV.

 The research method is a retrospective epidemiological analysis, a case-control method.

 Object of study:

 A pair of "HIV-infected mother - a child born to a HIV-infected woman with HIV status"

 HIV-infected child is a live-born child born to an HIV-infected woman in 2014-2016 with a diagnosis of HIV infection.

HIV-negative child is a live-born child born to an HIV-positive woman in 2014 with HIV-negative status.

 Research geography and sample

According to the results of the study an analytical report and a round table will be prepared.
